Botleys Mansion Wedding Photography
Charlotte and Morgan married on the first real day of Spring at Botleys Mansion. This grand, Palladian country house wedding venue is a dream location for a wedding.
A Botleys Mansion wedding is like stepping back in time – Charlotte and Morgan had their very own grand, luxurious country home for the day.
I started work early in the morning which allowed me to capture parts of both Charlotte and Morgan’s wedding preparations. Charlotte and the bridesmaids passed on an interesting tip – sandpaper the bottom of your wedding shoes – great idea! Morgan and the groomsmen had a more pressing issue – an errant tag in a suit added much hilarity to the morning and certainly alleviated the nerves!
The ceremony took place in the Green Room. This romantic, intimate, light and airy space is full of pastel hues and gentle tones. A string quartet accompanied the emotional service where Morgan just about managed to keep it together through the vows.
Confetti and Canapés
After the ceremony, guests and Bridesmaids lined the sweeping stone staircase to throw confetti. Bijou weddings catering team then went into overdrive with canapés and champagne while the string quartet serenaded the wedding guests.
Charlotte and Morgan led their wedding guests into the stunning, one-of-a-kind glass-roofed Atrium for the wedding breakfast. The Atrium, with its impressive grand staircase and sparkling chandeliers was a fabulous backdrop to some very funny and moving speeches.
Charlotte and Morgan skipped out on pudding to join me for some sunset portraits in the Grounds of Botleys Mansion. They then returned to join their guests for a beautiful first dance and some lovely dancing with the wedding party. Then the party really started – I am glad I stay late!
