Meet Jamie

Thank you for visiting my site. I’m Jamie - a professional wedding photographer, based in Berkshire but I photograph weddings all over the UK.

You have probably waded through lots of wedding photographer websites. It’s a saturated market, but I like to think my style of photography and approach is unique. I combine the drama of photo-journalism with directed, rather than heavily posed, portraiture and my images have a contemporary, natural and fresh feel to them.

My absolute aim as a photographer is to capture real and genuine emotions, which requires me to develop close connections and trust with people - usually soon after meeting them for the first time. My clients frequently comment that having me at their wedding is “like having a friend that happens to be taking photos”. I count myself very fortunate to be able to form connections like this and especially lucky that I am able to turn my passion for photographing weddings in this way into a successful business.

I live in Berkshire with my wife and two sons, they are my life and my biggest fans (and critics!). I don’t have much free time but if I did I would spend it playing a piano or watching the newest TV series on Netflix.

Testimonials

"OH MY GOD Jamie!!! they are AMAZING pictures, they made me cry. I can’t thank you enough for capturing that special time. THANK YOU, THANK YOU”

- Kim & Martin

Hi Jamie. What can we say apart from absolutely WOW!! You have captured every aspect of the day beautifully. The photos are completely stunning! You really have done the most incredible job and we're over the moon that we found and chose you, thank you so so much!!

- Matt & Ruth

AMAZING! Thank you Jamie!  So many guests have fed back how great they thought you were both on the day and after. We sent the slideshow all over the world and the feedback has been heartfelt tears of amazement. We can't wait to see you again but be warned 'thank you' will be words repeated!

- Laura & Paul

"We both just wanted to thank you again for yesterday. Despite our initial awkwardness and nervousness, we both really enjoyed the afternoon and are excited to see the pictures. Your whole approach was so kind, thoughtful and patient, as well as cheerful and energetic. I thought the shoot was going to make me more nervous about the wedding, but now I'm actively looking forward to it. So that's a result!”

- Salima & Andy

"Happy New Year Jamie! Alex and I have just had a very enjoyable time looking through the album (which we finally got round to opening today - this being the first day since we received it that we have actually had some free time together). WOW, IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! Without any exaggeration, we are completely blown away by it. The image quality is insane! Seeing the photos printed in such quality, and not on a computer screen, feels like we're seeing them for the first time! Thank you so much again for all the hard work that you put into it, and for your incredible photography. We're so pleased with the album, and it is something that we will always treasure. Thank you!”

- Alex & Robin

Hi Jamie, we are both SO happy with our amazing photos of the day. It really brings the wedding back to life in our minds and these photos we will treasure for the rest of our lives. I am so very grateful that you were able to photograph our wedding, both us and our family and friends said what a great job you did, what a nice guy you were and how amazing the end result is. We love the slideshow too, and simply can't watch it without breaking into the biggest smile! To think we were almost going to go with the 'get a friend' approach...

- Jess & Rob

"The photos look AMAZING. We are over the moon, thank you so much for everything - you went above and beyond on the day and the photos look unbelievable. We will be recommending you to anyone who is getting married!"

- Hannah & Tom

"Thank you Jamie. Every time we look at your images we laugh and cry. You captured the day perfectly :)"

The Details

Having a beautifully exposed photograph is about having the right quality of light. You can guarantee that if there is good natural light available I will find a way to put you in it. Equally, I add a variety of perfectly balanced and unobtrusive lights and light modifiers when the natural light needs a little help or to create a different mood. Achieving beautiful quality light means minimal photo editing, which results in crisp and clean photographs that will look great in colour or black and white.

The images tell the story but they are calling out to be shared with friends and to be printed. I am proud to work with Queensberry Albums, who I believe are the makers of the finest printed materials in the world. Each print, frame or book is custom designed and finished to the highest quality and can be ordered as a single item or as part of your photography package.
